Today on Tuesday Nov, 2 2004 30 Players Reps and Owners had a meeting about the NHL LockOut. But over 50 Player Reps actually showed up, actuallt 74 players and player reps showed up for the meeting. So far there is no DeadLine for the NHL LockOut. (The Players are willing to come up with some sort of a deal, yet the Owners are not caving in. LINDROS AS A LEAF? Say, wasn't that my pal Eric Lindros I saw the other day
cruising through the leafy lanes of Toronto's Rosedale in a big black Mercedes?
And wasn't that Eric who got out on South Drive and asked a neighbour who
happened to be outside at that moment if he knew the asking price for the house
at number 27, a huge, six-bedroom mansion on a ravine lot? Hmmm.
Eric, of course, is now an unrestricted free agent, since the New York Rangers
opted not to pick up his $10.25-million (U.S.) option. In his three seasons in
Manhattan, Eric, now 31, earned $26-million and scored 66 goals and 92 assists,
which works out to a mere $164,557 per point. Ouch. Oh, yes. Asking price for
your prospective digs, Eric: $3.495-million. sourse-- theglobeandmail

The Next One And The Next Next One
Eric Lindros, whose career was plagued by numerous concussions and sour dealings with the Philadelphia Flyers, found himself short on money after investing a substantial amount of his savings in the WHA. Taking a page from Jose Canseco, Lindros started a service where people could pay him $10,000 to hang out with him for a day. Unfortunately for Lindros, a group of about 100 Flyers fans signed up for the first slot. Needless to say, by the end of the day, Lindros had sustained his seventh and eighth concussions.

Looks Like A LockOut

Hockey might be in Europe

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eric Lindros was selected No. 7 overall by the Dallas franchise in this weekend's inaugural WHA free agent draft.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lindros was set free by the Rangers and might head to Toronto to play if the NHL season is not postponed or cancelled. It is unclear if he has any interest in playing in the new league, but he has yet to have a contigency plan in place in the event of a lockout like many other NHL stars.

Since losing Petr Nedved to the Phoenix Coyotes last week, the Edmonton Oilers are thought to be considering Allison as their "Plan B". They're also rumored to have interest in Alexei Zhamnov and Eric Lindros

Playing in Toronto possible: Lindros
By AP and CP
ERIC LINDROS says that signing with a Stanley Cup contender tops his list of priorities this off-season. "I've talked with a few teams, but I don't think there's any rush in doing anything," Lindros said yesterday at a golf tournament in Barrie.
Lindros said signing with the Maple Leafs is a possibility.
"Any kid who grew up in Southwestern Ontario, all you saw on Saturday night was Maple Leaf hockey," he said. "We'll see what happens with playing there. I don't have a crystal ball, so I don't know what's going to happen."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Former Philadelphia Flyer and New York Ranger Eric Lindros recently said he'd like to sign with a Stanley Cup contender, even singling out the Toronto Maple Leafs as one preference.
No offense, but he'll be lucky if a bottom-feeder signs him next season. Lindros is still a skilled player, but his concussion history makes him a risky signing for any NHL team
